30 Nov Dogs and Snow
So snow is coming whether we in the north east like it our not!! So how do you prepare the dog? Does he need a coat? Well yes coats are cute but dogs don’t really need them unless they have thin fur like greyhounds or chihuahuas. Do they need boots? Perhaps to keep ice off and salt but please use your own discretion. Do it In the best interest for the dog and not to win a beauty contest!!!! Dogs do NOT need to be out in the cold for long periods. Do their daily walk, play In the snow and let them do their business. Do NOT let them eat dirty snow EVER!! Some dogs just LOVE the white stuff but they will be doing a lot of jumping and slipping so be sure to keep them safe from injury. Enjoy the winter months but I feel your dog will love you MORE on a favorite chair In front of a cozy fire snoring away!!
