Did you know dogs can get allergies too? They can be allergic to food, or the environment just like us! Be sure to check for extreme itching ,licking and scratching or dinner that was regergitated instead of emptying the bowl. Whatever you do don’t self medicate!! Although there are some safe over the counter meds you can give, it is always best to go to the vet and get the proper care. Some dogs can even have reactions to meds so be careful!! Most common allergies are wheat, or grains, and grass and dry leaves just to name a few. So don’t always assume you’re dog has fleas, that’s scratching could be a bit more involved!! You don’t want your dog going crazy so get to the vet and stop the itch!!
